Last weekend I had some day's off in order to visit some friends in the town where I moved from in my early twenties.
While I was off I took the opportunity to visit a "chiropractor" in order to balance not only my body but also my mind and spirit. He did his stuff in a different way then I was used to. Since I know a stuff or two due to my education within health I was surprised that he did release the tensions in my muscles by pressing curtain pressure points holding tight until the muscle was totally relaxed.
Since I've been doing sports many years and still do I was thinking that I needed some adjustments. Now, I can say that adjustment is a small word for what I went through!!
One leg was 1.5 cm longer and I had muscle tensions all over the body not being able to move all limbs to their extent. He found the imbalance's all over my body and told me what I had put where in my body... especially around my shoulder blades. Still I consider myself to be rather fit... was shown some interesting stuff though!
Shoulder in Swedish means guilt and due to this I had a lot of stuff laying around here with muscles tighten up. Since the body is connected by mind and spirit as well you can understand that there was a lot to adjust.
I've known for a long time that mind body and spirit are connected and I see it everywhere. If you go to an ordinary chiropractor they make some fast moves to adjust your body which is fine but usually way to fast so the muscles are not followed and still full of tensions meaning you'll have to go back and do it all over again.. good business model if you only want the money!!
But let's take an analogy. This guy treated a doctor and asked what he would recommend to his patient if they had the same problems as the doctor had. The reply was "I would send them to rehab and or a chiropractor so they could be fixed".
My new friend said "Oh, that's like putting a car on the race track when you've concluded that you need to adjust your front chassi's due vibration in the steering wheel.."! Would have loved to see that doctors face .. but I can say that he understood the meaning of the analogy.
We all need adjustments to our bodies which actually are a much broader adjustment since effects both our mind and spirit as well. The body is the first outpost for anything we experience and does absorb this experience by muscle tensions.
I admit that it did hurt at first but when the muscles relaxed it could be felt like a small electrical current fading out. The limbs could quickly be moved where they where supposed to without any problems.
I had like muscles ace for days.. in a weird way.. and I know what muscle ace is like usually! The coolest thing with this was that I did actually release lot's of baggage along the way.. that I thought I'd already released my body was a good receipt of this being done!
On my way back (I traveled by car) I was accompanied by my dad who was going with me in order to visit my siblings who live close by. He told me of another guy also very good at balancing people using a similar pressure technique.. that guy was blind.. and did not charge a lot but still people tried to con him by not giving him "real" money.. when done with their treatment.. talk about building up bad karma!
The day after the treatment I met old friends where I grew up. My best childhood friend told me when I had left by phone that he'd not seen me so relaxed and comfortable since we where youngster's!! So apparently something happened.. and he does not usually say these things but he knows me really well. ;)
So to summarize this I would recommend to listen to your bodies they are amazing and help yourself by going through similar balancing of your selves that will actually be beneficial to you and others in tons of ways... ;) your choice..
