Apparently this is one of the reasons we came here and are on this planet called Earth.
In a world of perceived chaos it can be difficult to notice the details but I'm blessed to do exactly that.
Some days ago I was at work selling stuff in grocery stores (I only do this every now and then filling in for people on sick leave etc .. these days). A guy approached me and asked me where I was from. He was cleary not raised in Sweden. I don't look typical Swedish either so therefore the question. It happens every now and then.
There are lots of different angles on this question though. The question is about my heritage and possible knowledge of the same or similar culture for the one asking I think. A kind of bonding making ties even if only during few minutes.
After I left the store I was a bit annoyed thinking why do people ask this question when we are all World citizens? When it dawned on my that this question must have deeper meanings.
Now, the penny did not drop immediately but almost a week later. Yesterday I saw a great movie.. I cried my eyes out literally.
Now the strife begins to survive in Calcutta with human trafficers and other things bringing Saroo to an orphanage from where he gets adopted by a Australian couple.
He grows up in Australia and about 25 years later he starts his quest for his roots.... I will not tell you more cause I think you should watch the movie.. it's brilliant! The unconditional LOVE from his family drives him to keep searching for his ROOTS!
The search and the quest for our roots is essential for us I think cause it makes us "complete". On another level we search for our human family and their roots but more so we are actually searching for our true heritage and human origin simultaneously!
I would argue that most people adopted are searching for their roots at some point. The search for our roots has many layers though and some of us can easily see the connection to our true heritage and the search for it. I'm not adopted but still I find myself searching for my origin.. and I think I found at least part of it.
I sincerely think and hope we will unravel some wonderful findings in these months to come where our true heritage is displayed for all to see without the possibilty of "plausible deniabilty". I think this is one of the reasons why the World looks like it does today cause we are gearing up for these kind of events.
We are the ones we've been waiting for
